Christopher Culpo, an American composer and pianist has been living in Paris for more than twenty years. In tonight’s show we’ll hear music he’s composed for jazz ensembles, for string quartet, and for orchestra.

Crépuscule
Op 10 mei wordt in de altijd verrassende Splendor serie “QUIOSQUE” mijn mini-opera “Crépuscule” uitgevoerd in Splendor, Amsterdam door Anne LaBerge (fluit & stem), Nora Mulder (piano & stem), Bart de Vrees (slagwerk & stem), Wilbert Bulsink (orgel & stem), Mattijs van de Woerd (stem) en …(cello & stem) .

Aansluitend op deze zeer korte durende (30 seconden!) opera met proloog en drie delen wordt het tamelijke lang durende (4 1/2 uur!) “For Philip Guston” voor fluiten (Marieke Franssen), vibrafoon, klokkenspel en buisklokken (Bart de Vrees) en piano/celesta (Nora Mulder) van Morton Feldman uitgevoerd. Beide werken worden zelden integraal uitgevoerd in Nederland, mis het dus niet!
